What is the Bebras Challenge?
It is a fun and rewarding challenge for students around the world that introduces you to computational thinking. It lets you solve problems using your logic and computational thinking skills. Yes, you have them!
What is computational thinking?
Originally it involves a set of problem-solving skills that software engineers use to write programs and apps. You can break these skills down in smaller and more familiar components like pattern recognition, algorithm design, data analysis or abstraction. Computational thinking is used in more areas than just software, so it is very useful to get acquainted.
What will the challenge involve?
The test will take 45 minutes. You get 15 multiple-choice questions and the maximum score is 180. While working on the challenge you can use pen, paper and any calculator you want.
Do I receive a certificate with my score?
Yes! CS4Philly will email you a certificate, your score and achievement level. Your score is kept confidential.
